The Big Spring Sidewinder will take you on some very scenic and twisty backroads where you can explore several beautiful, gushing springs that purge from majestic limestone bluffs in awesome settings.
Even in the dry years these azure-colored “rivers from the earth” run generously providing an average of over 350 million gallons per day of cool, 58-degree, fresh and clear water.

Directions: From Eminence go east on HWY 106 for 17 miles. The Blue Springs gravel road is on the right “for the more adventuresome” (6 miles total). From this point (Blue Spring Road and HWY 106) go east 18 miles to Ellington and take a right on HWY 21 and go 8 miles to HWY D for 13 miles to Van Buren.
Right on Business HWY 60 for two miles to HWY 60. Right for 1 mile, across the Current River bridge and then left on HWY 103 for 4 miles to Big Spring.
From there, turn left (on the road you came in on) and it will take you back to HWY 103 in about 3 miles. Take a right on HWY 103 and in about 1 mile take a left on HWY 60 for 27 miles to HWY E. Take HWY E for 10 miles to HWY 106 and take a left for 3 miles to Alley Spring. To return to Eminence take a left (from the parking lot), cross the Jack’s Fork River and you will be there in 6 miles.
